As a Behavior Technician at WEAP, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills through a play‑based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Responsibilities and Qualifications- Work with children aged 18 months–6 years with autism in their homes or at our centers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Daily reliable transportation.
- Minimum age 18.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Consistent weekly schedule (mornings, afternoons, or evenings).
- Background check clearance.
- Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish fluency).
- Studies or minors in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or related field.
- Experience with children (babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, etc.).
- Interest in supporting a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, occupational therapy, speech‑language pathology, counseling, mental health, and parenting.
- Commitment to creating lasting, positive change for children and their families.
- Part‑time hours: 10–29 hrs/week.
- Hours of operation: 7 a.m.–8 p.m., Monday–Friday (optional weekends).
- If full‑time, up to 15 days paid time off after 90 days of employment.
- If part‑time, eligible for sick leave.
- Starting pay $16/hr, up to $… based on ABA experience/training.
Physical requirements vary by client assignment. You may be asked to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds and move quickly. It is necessary to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
