Activity Aide; Part-Time

Overview

Evansville Manor, part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is seeking a Part-Time Activity Aide who is available to work every other weekend. We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic individuals devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Aide organizes and participates in person-centered activity programming, including one-on-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group activities.

This role also includes documenting resident participation and the effectiveness of activity approaches in the medical record.

• Pay: $16–$18 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday & Thursday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Every other Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities that meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs of residents
• Create environments that promote joy, independence, and wellness each day
• Design programs that encourage socialization
• Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment while supporting daily living skills
• Prepare and maintain reports on resident progress
• Ensure activity areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained
• Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate resident participation

• A passion for working with people
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• The ability to remain calm and adapt in changing situations
• The ability to work under stress while remaining caring and kind
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Creativity, imagination, and innovation
• Musical or arts & crafts experience preferred
