Where You Will WorkThe Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced, dynamic unit with 17 beds and up to 4 overflow beds during peak times, caring for approximately 82 patients per day with an average stay of 3–6 hours. Our team provides comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages, from infants to centenarians, across a wide range of conditions. Nurses typically maintain a 1:4 ratio, with nursing assistant support varying by census and acuity.
This busy, growing unit offers an exciting environment for professional development, where teammates are highly engaged, actively participate in committees, and celebrate achievements through recognition programs and metric pins. Ideal candidates are dependable, ethical, and eager to learn, with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced setting. While multiple certifications and prior ED experience are nice to have, they are not required before hire.
This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates or experienced nurses seeking growth in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 6 months of hire
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
