RN Obstetrics Department - Weekender Float Position

Overview

Position Title: Weekender Program Registered Nurse (Float)
Location: Upland Hills Health - Obstetrics (OB) Department - Dodgeville Hospital Campus
Role & Department: Registered Nurse working a Premium Pay Weekender program on the OB Department
Hours & Shift: Part-time (.6 FTE) Evening/Night shift position, working 2 - 12 hour shifts on Fridays and Saturdays, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Assess the spiritual, emotional and physiological needs of the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery patients; plan the nursing care to meet these needs
• Ensure the plan of care is carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel
• The ideal candidate for this position is currently cross trained to another department and is interested in transitioning to an OB/Float RN position

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Candidates must be licensed and hold current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
• Prior acute care nursing experience and prior experience in labor & delivery, post-partum care is highly preferred
• NRP/BLS & ACLS certifications required or willingness to obtain
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
• Ability to plan, direct and/or implement and evaluate the nursing care delivered to patients
• Interest in professional growth, continuing education and participation in professional organizations is preferred
