Position Title:
Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Location:Upland Hills Health - Heart, Lung & Sleep Center
Role & Department:Staff Respiratory Therapist in the Heart, Lung & Sleep Department
Hours & Shift:Part‑time (.9 FTE) position working on the evening/night shift. Shift times are 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. with the majority of shifts being scheduled Monday‑Friday. Some weekend fill‑in coverage will be needed.
Role Responsibilities:- Proficient in all aspects of respiratory care including invasive and non‑invasive ventilator support from neonate to adult
- Development of care plans for all ages and disease states
- Documentation in EPIC EMR
- Arterial and venous blood draws
- Knowledge of cardiovascular diagnostics including holter scanning, stress testing and EKG interpretation
- Ability to work in emergent situations to support critically injured or ill patients
- Understanding of pulmonary diagnostics of FENO, PFT, and sleep disorders to insure best outcomes related to testing, therapy and evaluation methods
- Be respiratory and cardiac resource for staff and physicians, and work as a team player
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required
- RRT in the State of Wisconsin
- One or more years of prior RT patient care experience is preferred
- Ability to learn and competently work with co‑workers, referral sources and patients
- CPR Certification (BLS)
- Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial
