Ridgewood Rehab and Healthcare Center is offering an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist/Clinical Fellow to join our in-house rehabilitation team in The Woodlands area. Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role includes the development of individualized treatment plans, family and staff education, and active collaboration with the care team to promote optimal resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address resident needs.
  • Provide skilled therapy services aligned with medically necessary goals.
  • Assist with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies when needed.
  • Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on treatment techniques and progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other team members to coordinate instrumental swallowing evaluations (e.g., MBSS, FEES).
  • Document services accurately and in a timely manner per facility and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond promptly to family inquiries and concerns.
  • Train and support restorative nursing staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold dignity at all times.
Qualifications
  • Active Texas Speech Language Pathologist license
  • ASHA Certification
  • In good standing with all relevant licensing boards and agencies
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or long-term care preferred
  • Familiarity with Net Health documentation system is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse patient populations
