Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Walk-in
JOB SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Required:
Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCEMinimum
Required:
Six months in specialty.
Preferred/Optional: One year in specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Required:
Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants. Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
Rice Lake, WisconsinWith a population of just over 9,000, Rice Lake has many of the offerings of city life, nestled among some of the most beautiful features nature has to offer. The district consists of six elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Rice Lake is a popular summer resort area as well as a playground for those who enjoy swimming, boating, water‑skiing, and fishing.
Held each winter just north of Rice Lake is the biggest cross‑country skiing event in the nation, the Birkebeiner. Culturally, Rice Lake offers the Red Barn Players Summer Theatre and Art Center as well as the Northern Star Theatre. In the summer many residents of Rice Lake enjoy the splash pad, Turtleback golf course, and the Moon Lake Park with soccer fields.
