Clinical Dietitian PRN – Methodist Healthcare System

Job SummaryAs a Dietitian – Food and Nutrition, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluating all phases of nutritional care for inpatients and outpatients. You will maintain high standards of nutritional care, coordinate care with other clinicians, and support daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services department.
Responsibilities- Perform nutritional assessment, evaluations, and planning; calculate and record meal patterns.
- Maintain nutritional care plans, review medical records, correlate medical care to nutrition, chart findings, and attend care‑plan meetings.
- Interpret and implement diet prescriptions; calculate nutrients and prepare individual meal plans.
- Participate in daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services department, including meal service, customer satisfaction, quality improvement projects, department education, sanitation, and service.
- Develop and gather nutritional counseling material; provide in‑patient and out‑patient counseling for patients and family members.
- Interact and confer with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other professionals to assess and implement the nutritional plan of care.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field.
- Licensed by the State of Texas or able to obtain a license within 4 months of hire.
- Registered or Eligible‑to‑Practice with the American Dietetic Association / Commission on Dietetic Registration.
