Make a difference as a Director of Audit

As the Director of Internal Audit at One Community Bank, you will play a pivotal role in leading our audit function and enhancing our governance and internal controls. You will develop risk-based plans that align with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include collaborating closely with the Chief Risk Officer to assess risk and oversee the execution of audits, maintaining quality reporting standards, and coordinating efforts with external auditors.

You will also prepare detailed audit findings and present actionable recommendations to senior management and the Audit and Compliance Committee.

This position is critical for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and driving continuous improvements in control environments, ensuring our organization maintains high standards of integrity and compliance. Requirements for this Director of Audit job

To thrive as the Director of Audit at One Community Bank, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree along with at least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or the banking industry, particularly in internal auditing or risk management. Familiarity with banking regulatory laws and the financial services industry's policies is essential. Strong leadership abilities, coupled with analytical and critical-thinking skills, will enable you to oversee audit execution and develop effective risk-based audit plans.

Excellent communication skills are crucial for preparing clear, concise reports and presenting findings to senior leadership and the Audit and Compliance Committee. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and web-based tools, such as Abrigo, is required to ensure quality documentation and reporting. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate flexibility to accommodate occasional travel and off-hours meetings while embracing a culture of continuous learning through online classes and policy training sessions.
