About the Role:
The Controller is a hands‑on finance leader responsible for owning and executing all accounting and financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires active involvement in day‑to‑day accounting while overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and compliance in a production‑focused operation.
Responsibilities:- Own and manage the full accounting and finance function for a manufacturing operation.
- Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
- Partner closely with operations to support cost control, margin analysis, and production‑related financial decisions.
- Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement across accounting systems, reporting, and financial processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
. - Demonstrated experience owning end‑to‑end accounting and financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven ability to operate hands‑on while providing financial leadership.
Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Strong background in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production variance analysis.
- Experience supporting plant operations or production leadership.
- Exposure to continuous improvement or operational efficiency initiatives.
