Staff Accountant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a strong background in cost accounting. In this critical role, you will analyze financial data, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and evaluate cost structures to drive business performance and optimize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop, analyze, and maintain cost accounting systems and processes

+ Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to monitor and manage product costs and margins

+ Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and variance analyses

+ Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, with an emphasis on cost allocation and expense tracking

+ Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements

+ Support inventory valuation and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

+ Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

+ 3+ years of experience in financial analysis with a focus on cost accounting

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles

+

Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

+ CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred

+ Experience in a manufacturing or production environment a plus
