Location: Town of Belgium

As a Corporate Business & Financial Controller, you will act as the key financial point of contact for our 2 Business Lines. You will create transparency on financials, be responsible for the quality and follow up of activities' results and act as a sparring partner to steer operational decision-making. You will also enforce the application of best practices in financial processes.

Challenges we trust you with
  • Strategic planning & forecasting:
    Drive the strategic planning activities in collaboration with the respective Leadership. Support forecasting cycles with the business.
  • Monthly closing & reporting:
    Review, control and validate Monthly Closing. Report to the Management with variance analyses and recommendations.
  • Tax incentives and grants:
    Ensure the proper computation and monitoring of tax incentives and grants.
  • Business partnership:
    Prepare ad hoc analyses to support leaders to make decisions. Identify levers to optimize profitability, and continuously challenge business teams.
  • Cash management:
    Ensure the cash in forecast is accurate and up to date, follow-up on forecast with Treasury and monthly overdue report issuance, support business for customer invoicing
  • Risk management:

    Ensure risks are followed and analyzed
  • Continuous improvement:
    In coordination with Finance teams, put in place audit recommendations to guarantee compliance with financial standards and corporate governance.
  • Strategic support:
    Contribute on ad hoc basis to strategic analysis related to performance and value management within IBA Clinical or Technologies
What we value

You have :

  • Master’s degree or an equivalent financial background
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience (controlling, audit, …)
  • Outstanding analytical skills with a critical mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and in French
  • A strong understanding of the setup of an ERP package
And you also are:
  • A proactive, assertive, and pragmatic person
  • Open-minded, client-oriented, and able to work in a team
  • Rigorous and consistent in all daily document control activities
  • Flexible and able to set priorities and to organize your work autonomously
Cherry on the cake
  • Knowledge of SAP, Power

    BI and digital savviness
  • Relevant experience in a projects/industrial environment
  • Mastering of the application of IFRS norms
