Responsibilities
JOB REQUIREMENTS: QUALITY ENGINEER sought in Mt Pleasant, WI. Spearhead quality assurance for multiple New Project Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Lead the NPI team in investigating and resolving non‑conformances to provide effective corrective and preventive actions across all stages for both internal and external issues contributing to achieve first pass yield (FPY) targets for smooth transitioning from NPI to mass production.
Implement advanced statistical methodologies, including Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and data analysis using JMP and SQL to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality. Resolve SCAR by applying problem‑solving tools such as DMAIC and 8D methodology. Analyze test scripts and debug logs to identify failure patterns and prioritize high‑impact issues. Design and deploy predictive failure models based on available historical data using Minitab and Excel, enabling early identification of potential failures.
Collaborate with the PCBA manufacturing vendor to perform process audits, product verification, failure analysis, and design validation. Utilize Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify process inefficiencies, reduce waste, vendor‑induced defects, bottleneck, and drive continuous improvement preventing over‑aged products from shipping. Perform analysis on failure rate for high‑runner and low‑runner parts through historical data and revise the spare inventory percentage for each part.
Education Required: Master’s degree in Engineering Management or Industrial Engineering.
