Electrical Estimator

Description

• The Estimator will prepare cost estimates for electrical and bid projects. Communicate with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, building officials, owners, contractors and subcontractors, determine the scope of work, review design options and on occasion price field change orders.

• Meet with clients to discuss the scope and scale of the opportunity.
• Identify and quantify all costs factors involved with the project.
• Prepares cost estimates from design conception to basic design as requested for project purposes.
• Present and review completed estimate and proposal to Owners and Client.
• Helps to maintain relationship with vendors and subcontractors to create the team concept to prompt fair and equitable relationships.
• Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures costs data is allocated correctly within electrical construction environment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line drawings and schematics.
• Analyze proposals and documentation in order to prepare costs and labor estimates for projects.
• Maintain backup documentation of contacts and pricing for follow up.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, maintain consistent schedule throughout the estimating process.
• Understand the deadlines and work with the team to provide the estimates on time.

• Looking for an electrician with a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial, commercial and farm electrical work.
• Must have knowledge of controls, control wiring, blueprints, schematics and contracts.
• Must have a positive attitude, Self-starter, motivated and team oriented.
