Opportunity
The Staff Engineering Analyst – Regional Maintenance & Reliability provides maintenance and reliability support across manufacturing plants in North America. Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for maintenance and reliability, this role leads initiatives to improve equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability. Responsibilities include developing and implementing maintenance strategies, analyzing equipment failures, and driving continuous improvement through data‑driven insights and proactive problem‑solving.
WorkMode and Location
Onsite – Kohler, WI
Specific Responsibilities- Provide tactical maintenance and reliability support for manufacturing plants in North America.
- Mentor and coach teams on maintenance and reliability best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards for master data in the CMMS.
- Collaborate with KOS Asset Reliability to implement the maintenance and reliability playbook.
- Provide technical support on maintenance strategy implementation (lubrication, PM, PdM, CBM).
- Conduct regular reliability reviews including criticality, PM optimization, bad actor analysis, and equipment BOMs.
- Drive improvements through data analytics to improve OEE, MTBF, MTTR and MCPEU.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCA) as required for frequent, or safety related incidents.
- Collaborate with Operations and CI on improvement projects.
- Equipment life cycle management from design to decommission.
- Provides reliability and maintenance input on capital projects on design for reliability and maintainability of the equipment.
- Develop maintenance strategies for key assets or processes using FMEA’s, OEM recommendations, and industry best practices.
- Manage and support the implementation of new technologies to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Subject matter expert (SME) for maintenance and reliability and core team member for ownership of the reliability program at Kohler Co., which includes the following:
- Reliability standards and templates
- Lubrication
- Equipment BOMs
- Precision maintenance
- Preventative maintenance
- Predictive maintenance
- Condition based monitoring
- Drive strategic technology improvements in maintenance (mobile CMMS, job plan app, lubrication app, PM app, PdM/CBM, AI for maintenance).
- Partner with engineering, operations and maintenance to identify and implement strategic maintenance initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.
- All other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry‑related experience in maintenance or engineering.
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) or willingness to obtain.
- 8+ years of maintenance experience with a proven track record of driving improvements and results.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and strategic business acumen.
- Experience with RCA, FMEA, and CMMS (SAP preferred).

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
