We’re seeking a Contract to Hire Industrial Engineer II to join our client's team and play a key role in both new equipment development and the continuous improvement of existing systems
. This hands-on position combines mechanical design, PLC programming, and electrical system integration with opportunities to drive automation and process improvements across manufacturing operations.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to design, validate, and deploy machinery while ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety.

• Design, validate, and implement new machinery for production operations.
• Provide technical support for existing equipment, focusing on maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Develop and integrate PLC programming for optimal machine performance.
• Create CAD/CAE models, engineering drawings, and documentation to support design and fabrication.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for end users.
• Support new product introductions through equipment justification, cost analysis, and project management.
• Act as a technical resource for maintenance teams and other engineers.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and apply lean principles to drive efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.

• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, ProE).
• Experience in machine design, automation, and process improvements.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical details to various audiences.
• Ability to manage shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
