. This hands-on position combines mechanical design, PLC programming, and electrical system integration with opportunities to drive automation and process improvements across manufacturing operations.
You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to design, validate, and deploy machinery while ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety.
What You’ll Do- Design, validate, and implement new machinery for production operations.
- Provide technical support for existing equipment, focusing on maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Develop and integrate PLC programming for optimal machine performance.
- Create CAD/CAE models, engineering drawings, and documentation to support design and fabrication.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for end users.
- Support new product introductions through equipment justification, cost analysis, and project management.
- Act as a technical resource for maintenance teams and other engineers.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and apply lean principles to drive efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, ProE).
- Experience in machine design, automation, and process improvements.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical details to various audiences.
- Ability to manage shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative, detail-oriented engineer with strong visualization and problem-solving skills.
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys both hands-on technical work and cross-functional teamwork.
- A professional who is organized, adaptable, and eager to take ownership of projects from concept to completion.
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally bend or reach overhead.
- Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent computer-based work requiring focus and attention to detail.
