RINA is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer – Construction to join its office in Brookfield, WI within the North America Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Mission

The Project Engineer is an integral part of our team, overseeing transportation projects primarily for Wisconsin DOT (WisDOT). Your role involves on‑site documentation of construction projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. You will conduct daily field inspections, monitor contractor operations, interact with stakeholders, and support project scheduling and close‑out activities. Your effective communication and attention to detail will contribute significantly to project success and client satisfaction.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be encouraged to build relationships with clients for current and future projects, fostering a collaborative environment for continued success.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects (interpreting designs, construction specifications, verification of contractor performance, pay estimates, overseeing a team of inspectors)
  • Review construction documents for constructability
  • Complete inspector’s daily reports
  • Review project drawings
  • Review project work for quality and safety requirements
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s technical, safety and quality policies and procedures during the execution of projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field of study
  • 7+ years of transportation construction experience. Bridge experience is a plus.
  • Engineering‑In‑Training (EIT) required. Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
  • Background or experience with structures construction, preferred
  • Proficiency in using construction management and project scheduling software
  • Strong technical written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel to project sites based on business needs.
  • Valid Driver's license
