Description and Requirements

We are looking for a Solar Technician II to maintain, test, and troubleshoot AC and DC circuits at solar PV power plants. The position involves:

  • Testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing solar PV plant electrical equipment.
  • Gaining technical information from electrical schematics, vendor data, and applicable codes.
  • Performing current and voltage readings as necessary.
  • Understanding reliability‑based maintenance philosophies and working toward certifications such as CMRT and CMRP.
  • Performing plant‑related preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance scheduled by the Site Manager and/or Lead Technician.
Who You Are
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment such as DMM, megger, multi‑process calibration equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Operational power plant experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
What You’ve Accomplished
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent desired.
  • 0‑3 years of related experience desired.
  • TX Electricians License (preferred).
  • Availability for daily regional travel to job sites as needed.
  • A valid driver’s license operable in all 50 states and Canada with a clean driving record.
  • PPE use is required in accordance with EGPNA, NFPA, or OSHA guidelines.
