Job Overview:

We seek a dedicated and passionate school counselor to lead the creation and implementation of a counseling program aimed at supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth. The position involves creating a secure and nurturing learning environment and implementing initiatives to address bullying, violence, and intolerance affecting students and the school community.

Counselor Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute programs to meet students' mental and emotional needs.
  • Address students' academic, social, emotional, and personal issues.
  • Facilitate communication between students, parents, and educators to foster positive relationships.
  • Provide support and guidance to students on personal and academic issues.
  • Mediate relationships between students, parents, and teachers.
  • Arrange meetings with students and/or parents requiring intervention or support.
  • Identify and manage risky behaviors to prevent behavioral problems and threats.
  • Support students' academic performance while promoting overall wellness.
  • Refer students to mental health professionals as needed.
  • Counselor Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional counselor.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to empathize and help students open up.
    • Strong decision-making and perceptive intuition skills.
    • Professionalism and a strong work ethic.
    • Leadership qualities, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
    • Effective time management and organizational skills.
