First Baptist Church, Hughes Springs is a cooperating Southern Baptist congregation and affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptists). Located in Northeast Texas, we’ve seen exciting growth—Sunday worship increased from 250 to 350 in the past year;
Sunday School/Small Groups average 225. We’re known for strong community ties, multi-generational ministries, and a heart for the Gospel.

• Children (Wednesdays):
  Team Kid (grades 1–5), Awana Cubbies (age
  5), 3–4-year-old class, weekly meal; ~currently 100 participants and growing
• Youth (Wednesdays):
  Grades 6–12, 75–85 students for music & teaching; additional Bible studies on Fridays and Tuesdays
• Adult Discipleship:
  Men’s Bible Study (Tuesdays, 6:30 a.m.);
  Sisterhood & Brotherhood monthly studies and annual conferences
• Music:
  Kids Praise (ages 4–12, Sunday evenings), Voice of Praise (youth, Sunday afternoons), full Adult Choir (Wednesday rehearsals; full choir loft Sundays), Handbells (Sunday evenings)
• Missions:
  Local outreach with van transportation; global partners in Wyoming and Spain
