Role MissionThe After School Enrichment specialists will facilitate after school programming for priority students, focusing on academic support, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness. Enrichment Specialists will work with campus principals and the After School Coordinator to ensure after school programs align with the school's vision and priorities. The work hours are after school for 2 – 2.5 hours.
What We OfferCompensation: $14.00/hour. Benefits include dental and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, vacation time, referral bonuses, and professional development. IDEA may offer a relocation allowance if applicable.
Qualifications- Current college enrollment, up to 15 college hours, or professional certification in the subject you will teach
- Experience working with youth and in a classroom/school setting
- Must attach an official or unofficial transcript to verify GPA and credit hours
- Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to various situations in the school environment
- Ability to track data for reporting
- Implement behavior management systems aligned with campus initiatives
- Develop a positive school culture and foster student character and community
- Build trust and respectful relationships with students and families
- Lead enrichment and recreational activities for groups of 12-18 students
- Support students' academic and cognitive development
- Promote self-esteem and motivation through positive interactions
- Coordinate with the Site Coordinator and Project Director on program activities and evaluation
- Follow all IDEA campus rules and procedures
