Job Description

As a Member Service Representative, you will be the face of our credit union, building connections with our members and ensuring they receive personalized assistance to meet their financial needs. You  be in direct contact with the membership, assisting on a variety of transactions ranging from opening accounts to applying for loans.

Compensation and Benefits — The pay for this role is $17.50-$29.54 per hour
. Your starting pay rate will be based on related experience and qualifications. You  be eligible for benefits equivalent to an additional $12.00 per hour in benefits. Benefits include a 401k employer match of up to 200%, a bonus of annual salary up to 4%, a generous employer HSA contribution, and paid time off for community service.

Responsibilities
  • Assists members in opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing accurate information on various financial products and services.
  • Provides warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member who visits or contacts the credit union.
  • Educates members about credit union products and services and refers to the appropriate person or department when additional information is needed.
  • Understands and assesses members  financial needs to educate on and offer suitable products and services that align with their goals.
  • Educates members and assists as needed with Interactive Teller Machines.
  • Collaborates with team members and departments to achieve goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Participates in community events and outreach programs to promote financial literacy and build relationships with local residents and organizations.
  • Work schedule includes a 32-hour work week and may involve working multiple Saturdays per month.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a financial institution or service or sales-related capacity, or an Associate  Degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with a diverse customer base.
  • Demonstrates accuracy, productivity, and strong member service.
  • Punctual with a neat, professional appearance and proper business telephone etiquette.
  • Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • Detailed knowledge of the credit union and its services.
  • Bilingual fluency preferred but not required.

Branch

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:30 am to Noon. This position requires a varied schedule including multiple Saturdays per month.
