Construction Manager

Location: Prairie Du Sac

Culver Franchising System, LLC is looking for collaborative, solution-oriented Construction Manager. This position is responsible for facilitating and managing construction and design projects including improvements to existing locations and building new restaurants. They will work with internal and external stakeholders to managing construction schedules, risks, issues and deliverables to optimize outcomes including timeline and budget enabling franchisees and Culver Franchising System to grow successful locations while adding value to the Culver's brand.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible to Achieve New Restaurant Construction Project Goals
  • Manage the construction process and progress updates with franchisees
  • Optimize the process, schedule and project requirements with general contractors to ensure projects stay on time and within budget
  • Facilitate and lead required project meetings including project start up and process meetings with franchisees, general contractors, sub-contractors and operations team; ensure weekly status reporting is completed
  • Identify and manage risks and critical path issues with factors such as materials, lead times, and resource allocations, escalating to Senior Construction Manager as appropriate
  • Document, manage and track status updates, risks and follow-ups
  • Update and deliver status reports and provide updates to stakeholders on timelines, risks and mitigations
• Ensure Construction Documents are in Compliance with Culver's Standards
  • Review construction documents and make revisions with architects, engineers and franchisees as appropriate to align with Culver's standards
  • Collaborate with and engage with local building city and health inspectors
  • Leverage construction knowledge and experience to ensure highest quality of project outcomes and deliver franchise satisfaction
  • Identify and assess areas of opportunity for cost savings in the prototype design and in the building and construction process for franchisees
  • Review equipment supplier field notes from site visits and address issues with general contractors and sub-contractors to ensure errors are corrected prior to equipment delivery
  • Communicate construction and design issues to key stakeholders (franchisee, general contractor, design and development team, operations, training, supply chain, equipment suppliers)
  • Assist supplier partners with the selection and coordination of materials and equipment for the construction of Culver's restaurants
  • Partner with supply chain to effectively evaluate and optimize the performance of building material and equipment suppliers
• Collaborate with and Lead Internal and External Stakeholders Through the Design and Construction Process
  • Educate and answer questions from franchisees and general contractors on Culver's design and construction process
  • Advise franchisees on improvements to existing restaurants by documenting or verifying existing conditions and developing priorities and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field, preferably Construction Management
• 4-6 years experience in managing related commercial construction projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong project management, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, food service and mechanical drawings with extensive knowledge of building construction practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in AutoCAD and Revit, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Able to travel up to 20% of the time

Starting Pay Range: starts at $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Classification:
Exempt/Salaried, full-time position.
