Horizon Retail Construction is a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in tenant improvement. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and driven Estimator to join the team at our corporate headquarters. Headquartered in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, we take pride in delivering quality projects, building strong relationships, and fostering a collaborative team culture.

• Prepare detailed quality take-offs and cost estimates across all CSI divisions.
• Analyze construction documents, plans, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Review invitations to bid (ITBs), identify trade‑specific needs, and ensure complete bid coverage.
• Issue and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design intent and scope discrepancies.
• Evaluate and qualify subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure scope completeness and cost accuracy.
• Coordinate and attend pre‑bid site visits or arrange site surveys with field personnel when necessary.
• Review and incorporate design revisions and addenda into the bid process.
• Collaborate with project managers to satisfy client expectations.
• Maintain and update bid templates and historical data to ensure consistent estimating practices.
• Collaborate with Project Coordinator to ensure timely and effective subcontractor solicitation and documentation.
• Submit bids accurately and on schedule using each client’s preferred delivery method (e.g., email, portals).

• Associate or bachelor's degree (may be currently pursuing a degree or have 3‑5 years relevant experience).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Construction‑related or estimating experience.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Blue Beam, OnScreen Takeoff, or similar.
• Previous customer service or subcontractor coordination experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
