The Tax Manager will be responsible for both tax compliance and tax accounting to include, reviewing and managing the preparation of partnership tax returns and schedules and all reports to taxing and other authorities, researching tax issues, preparing annual provision work papers, as necessary, as well as maintaining tax calendars and due date listings. The Tax Manager will be responsible for computing and processing timely quarterly estimated payments and distributions.

The role will collaborate with Accounting, Operations and Development teams on all tax matters related to current and planned business activities and acquisitions. The role is remote but will require travel to semi‑annual Tax Department Meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Manages and reviews all federal and state partnership income tax returns prepared by an outside accounting firm.
  • Manages the quarterly estimated tax process and distributions.
  • Manages the preparation and distribution of K‑1’s.
  • Manages the personal property tax obligations, reporting and compliance for all states.
  • Leads tax projects and research utilizing both internal and external resources.
  • Manages communications with membership, FP&A, outside tax consultants, and external auditors.
  • Supports the annual audit of the Company’s financial statements in the area of tax.
Qualifications
  • A CPA is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. An advanced degree (Master’s in Taxation) is preferred.
  • Experience working with multi‑state entities, ideally with acquisition experience.
  • Knowledge of Net Suite is a plus.
  • Relevant tax experience with Partnership tax returns is required.
  • Relevant tax experience working in a mid‑large organization or in the Tax Department of a Public Accounting Firm.
