Seasonal Construction Crew

Solarus is currently looking for motivated individuals to join their seasonal construction crew. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get their foot in the door in a construction environment. As a member of the construction crew, you will be responsible for performing general manual labor tasks related to the installation and maintenance of outside plant facilities for Solarus' diverse fiber optic network. You will work under the direction of the Construction Foreman and will be required to follow standard safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

This position is outdoors, may come into contact with poisonous plants, and requires the ability to work in all weather conditions.

• Digging and shoveling
• Cleaning and restocking work vehicles
• Operation of hand tools and small power equipment
• Other related job duties as assigned

• At least age 18
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
• Enrolled in post-secondary education for the Fall
• Ability to perform routine physical labor tasks, including repetitious lifting – up to 100 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions in a fast-paced work environment
• Basic mechanical skills
• Overtime hours may be required
• Working hours will be 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday, up to 56 hours per week. No weekends or holidays.
