Will train for 2 shifts in Stevens Point and will have one shifts to work in the new building prior to open- first week of training may be dayshift 7A-7P Department: ER RN

Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by XX8.00/hour.
** Trauma Level? STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center? Non-Designated # Beds/Trauma Bays 7+triage Do you have a Fast Track ED/Urgent Care combined facility, Urgent Care hours 8a-8p Do you have a separate Triage area? If so, do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? We do not have a designated triage nurse- bedside triage Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER?
ED holds are mixed in within the ED when it occurs- transfer out specialty care, ICU or critical to Weston or Marshfield Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? No Is Security in-house 24/7? Housed in the ER? No security onsite. Do have availability of a panic button 24/7 linked to 911 and shuts down access to ED On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day?
New Facility Open Date of 3/1/3036- expected to be 30-40 patients per day Nurse:
Patient Ratios 1:3-4 Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS?) ACLS, BLS, PALS (Strongly prefer - TNCC, NRP, ENPC)
* Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac, Diabetic, Stroke, Tick Bites, Respiratory, Wounds (triage treat and transfer out- can take a full day to get them out) Experience or 'Must have' skills 1 of CAH/ similar setting if a first time traveler or 2 years ED experience but still in a similar setting if no previous travel. RN to be used to working with limited resources.
MUST be willing to work inpatient MS and flex to do so (will not open inpatient unit for first year of open). Ok with duos- but wont be able to get the exact same schedule Common drips? Heparin, Diltiazem ED Physician/Mid-Levels 1 ED provider 24/7 and a PA M-Sa 8a-8p Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?
Charge RN- takes an assignment, 2 RNs in house, 3 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and will ask for more when needed. (Will be staffed up on initial open and first month or two) Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? Ratios? Duties? 1 ED/HUC tech 24/7 that can assist with sitting, labs, IVS, EKGs, patient care Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABG's, breathing Tx, & EKG's?
No RT onsite, RN is responsible- ED HUC/TECHs can do EKGs as well, machines (provider to order vent settings- and at bedside) RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? Yes, they need to assist with intubation and monitoring of transport vents until transfer (Weston to help if needed by phone) Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER?
Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the Tele monitors? RNs are required to read their own strips- GE Monitors X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? X-ray, CT available 24/7 and they transport themselves; MRI truck on certain days but not likely ordered from ED; US POC available. Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw?
RN/Techs draws labs and lab will pick them up from the unit Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 7A-7P or 7P-7A- block schedule, manager to make and fill in where needed, depending on when they start contracts Weekend Requirements Q3rd weekend:
Friday Sat, Sunday Holiday Requirements Q3rd Holiday, but expected to work major winter holiday Is there call or a standby requirement? No on call in addition to your scheduled shifts; may be placed on call if there are no inpatients in house (rotated) Floating Requirements All agency contracts are required to work the ED unit (Inpatient unit when opens 10 beds) will be scheduled in both areas as needed.

-likely going to Navy Blue but not mandatory yet Unit/Department specific orientation Will get 3 full shifts on ED unit in SP the week prior to open, mandatory orientation paperwork/ CBTs to be done (first 2 days going through paper with trainer- follow up with manager if there are issues completing).
