The job would be on an ornamental horticultural nursery. The job includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:
Responsibilities- Tying climbing plants to supports – this is the main job and required a strong back because the work is done bent over all day with plants on the ground and not raised on benches. The task demands dexterity as you will be holding a tying machine all day, carefully avoiding breakage while maintaining an appropriate speed.
- Fulfilling orders
- Weeding plants
- Potting
- Labelling plants
- Propagating young plants
- Putting bamboo supports into freshly potted plants
The participant must have a strong back and wrist, and be physically able to work close to the ground for long periods of time.
