Maintenance Operative

Our brand-new client, based in Wisbech is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join them working on a full-time permanent basis (40 hours per week) between the hours of 7am – 6pm. There will be some additional requirements for evenings during emergencies or on weekends during events. (Consideration may be given to a job share on this role for the right people).

As Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance team with building maintenance and refurbishment, undertaking project work. dealing with planned and reactive maintenance, liaising with external contractors when required, PAT testing, testing fire alarms and fire doors, manning the maintenance helpdesk, problem solving and recognising proactive work that needs to be completed, ensuring all assessment (risk, COSHH, RAMS) are up to date, undertake equipment training to safely use, participate in daily team meetings, working closely with the facilities team and much, more

To be considered for the role of Maintenance Operative, you will have previous and relevant experience with an emphasis on electrical work. a great knowledge of Health and Safety, general handyperson / all-round maintenance skills, the ability to work at height if required, physically fit and in good health, you will be expected to undertake a DBS check as part of your employment.

In return, my client if offering £12.80ph, 30 days annual leave less 5 days for Christmas shutdown, defined contribution pension scheme, discounted products, on-site parking.
