A maintenance operative carries responsibility for the domestic repairs & maintenance upkeep of the premises, minor projects within the site complex and all compliance needed for the running of the site.
Responsibilities- Ensure the environment is safe, welcoming, clean, hygienic and well repaired.
- Maintain high professional standards of record keeping and reporting.
- Participate in and undertake regular audits of the quality systems.
- Inspect and address works from contractors that are below required standard.
- Ensure compliance with national regulations and inspection standards.
- Manage the workload for maintenance and provide proactive works.
- Liaise with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects.
- Identify improvement projects to enhance image, functionality, operational or educational efficiency.
- Ensure projects completed within the programme and contractors leave facilities in good condition.
- Manage the upkeep of the grounds.
- Building and maintenance knowledge.
- Experience with compliance and record keeping.
- Trade background preferred but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS and reference checks required.
