White’s Site Development, Inc. is a full-service civil site contractor based in Central Florida. We specialize in land clearing, grading, underground utilities, concrete, and asphalt for both private and public sector clients. Our crews are known for quality workmanship, safety, and professionalism. We’re looking to add a motivated Pipe Hillman to our underground utilities team.
Position SummaryThe Pipe Hillman plays a key role in assisting the pipe crew with the installation of water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. This position supports the Pipe Layer and Foreman by maintaining grade, setting up lasers, managing material flow, and ensuring the pipe installation process runs efficiently and safely.
ResponsibilitiesAssist the pipe crew with layout, setup, and installation of underground utilities.
Set and check grade using lasers, levels, and grade rods.
Maintain proper trench depth, alignment, and slope according to plans.
Signal and guide equipment operators during trenching and back filling.
Handle and prepare pipe, fittings, and materials for installation.
Keep the pipe zone clean, organized, and free of debris.
Backfill, compact, and assist with final grading operations.
Ensure safety of crew members by maintaining trench protection and watching for hazards.
Work under the direction of the Pipe Foreman and assist in meeting daily production goals.
1–3 years of experience working on underground utility crews preferred.
Strong understanding of grade, slope, and pipe alignment.
Ability to read grade stakes and work with pipe lasers.
Comfortable working in and around trenches and heavy equipment.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.
Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Team-oriented, safety-minded, and dependable.
Experience on FDOT, municipal, or private development projects.
Familiarity with PVC, RCP, and DIP materials.
OSHA 10 Certification.
