REV-O is the manufacturer of ambulances, part of the REV Group family. Joining REV's Ambulance division means using your talents to build vehicles that transport first responders and patients quickly and safely. This description summarizes the Welder role and its requirements.

• Read blueprints and perform shop math converting fraction to decimal to layout, fabricate and weld various parts and assemblies.
• Layout, fabricate and weld various parts and assemblies.
• Perform welding procedures as prescribed in AWS and ASME publications for MIG and STICK welding (SMAW) on multiple types of metals in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions, with a heavy concentration on MIG Welding Aluminum.
• Use grinders, sanders, rivet guns, saws and other air tools, and read English measurement units to convert fractions to decimals.
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter, lack of fusion, and craters.
• Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English.
• Maintain a safe work environment and perform maintenance on welding equipment when necessary.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Two years of experience in welding using MIG or TIG welding machines.
• Must pass and maintain in-house AWS Welder Certification.

• Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.

• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing in and out of buses.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to work with arms above head.
• Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
• Must not be allergic to smoke, grinding and fiberglass dust.
• Ability to work in 105-degree heat for excess of ten (10) hours per day.

Overtime may be required based on business needs. This position may require mandatory overtime up to three (3) out of four (4) Fridays per month.
