Job Summary
The HR Generalist I is responsible for providing core HR services to employees within their business unit to help drive our mission. Reporting to the HR Manager, responsibilities include supporting the HR Function through training, onboarding, offboarding, tier I employee relations issues, HR program administration, and policy interpretation and application.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Establish yourself as a trusted partner to assigned leaders to provide exceptional Human Resources support.
- Develop positive working relationships through on-site and floor presence with local management and employees to influence and coach them on effective employment practices.
- Support staffing needs, in coordination with Talent Acquisition. This may include candidate screening, scheduling, and participating in job fairs.
- Tier I employee relations support. Escalates matters to site Manager HR Business Partner for final recommendation.
- Assist Corporate Payroll with weekly/bi-weekly payroll execution.
- Update and generate reports in HRIS, as well as the vacation tracking system.
- Assist with intake and documentation of employee relations issues and resolutions.
- Support a strong employee offboarding process, including exit interviews and tracking.
- Assist with the performance review process.
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Support the implementation of HR programs, processes, and procedures originating from COE's or other HR leadership areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organization.
- Must be trustworthy with highly confidential information and maintain confidentiality at all levels of the organization.
- Must have ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
- Good problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to operate both as a business partner and employee advocate.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other organization employees.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to deal with a variety of changing situations.
- Associate’s degree in HR or equivalent experience in a related field; bachelor’s preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
