Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB/GYN Sonographer to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis, primarily working weekends. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn), with comprehensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques. This role offers an opportunity to provide vital diagnostic services in a supportive environment, ensuring high-quality patient care through precise imaging and effective communication.
Responsibilities- Perform obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations with accuracy and attention to detail, adhering to established protocols.
- Utilize sonography equipment to capture clear images of fetal development, maternal anatomy, and related structures for diagnostic purposes.
- Apply aseptic techniques consistently to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and support patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, findings, and patient information in compliance with medical standards.
- Educate patients about procedures, addressing questions with clarity and compassion to enhance their comfort and understanding.
- Proven experience as a sonographer specializing in OB/GYN
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Proficiency in sonography techniques, diagnostic radiology principles, and medical imaging equipment operation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, physicians, and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique standards and safety protocols within clinical settings.
- Certification or licensure in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent credentials are highly preferred.
We operate two office locations in Winter Park and Lake Nona, and this role may be based at either location based on your preference and availability.
This position offers flexible, weekend-based hours. Our current needs include Friday afternoons and Saturdays, but we are happy to discuss scheduling options to find a mutually beneficial fit.
