Position Description

Rollins College educates students for global citizenship and responsible leadership. The Center for Leadership & Community Engagement (CLCE) fosters, encourages, and promotes student, faculty, and staff involvement within local and global communities. CLCE inspires action and cultivates positive social change through leadership development and community engagement. Through opportunities such as service-learning courses, community-based learning, leadership development, community service, and innovative programs and resources, CLCE inspires action and cultivates positive social change through leadership development and community engagement.
As a student staff member in CLCE, the intern will be immersed in hands‑on experiences in theory and in practice of both academic and student affairs as it relates to fostering active citizenship in others. The intern will have the unique opportunity to create, develop, and enhance existing programs for CLCE, while developing necessary skills to challenge and support students, faculty, and staff in a Liberal Arts environment.
The intern will also support CLCE’s Strategic Priorities, in addition to working on additional CLCE summer programming, as necessary. This internship will be supported by the Rhoda Newberry Reed Foundation and will focus on building capacity in Rollins leadership and community engagement summer programs, including, but not exclusively SPARC (Service Passion Action, Rollins College) and Summer
SERVE.
The ideal candidate(s) will possess a strong desire to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff members from various departments, challenge themselves and others in intellectual growth and development, and have a strong interest in community engagement, leadership, and diversity.

The Student Engagement Intern within the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement will be immersed in hands‑on experiences in theory and practice of both academic and student affairs as it relates to fostering active citizenship in others.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development of CLCE summer programs. The intern will be asked to contribute to a range of summer programs & initiatives, playing a key support role in the development of Service Passion Action Rollins College (SPARC) Day of Service & Education and Summer
SERVE. - For SPARC Day, responsibilities include connecting with incoming students to ensure all required paperwork is completed and processed, engaging in community partner outreach and maintenance, management of SPARC supplies, preparation of Peer Mentor/Faculty resources (Guidebook), and other duties as assigned.

SERVE, responsibilities include project management from start to finish, community outreach, logistical preparations, reflection planning and resources, as well as marketing and social media promotion. - Create and establish sustainable professional relationships with local non‑profit organizations to ensure continued growth of mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Serve as summer lead on marketing materials using computer‑based publishing programs to create items such as: flyers, advertisements, brochures, as well as providing continuous updates on social media sites.
- Organize and facilitate virtual & in‑person site visits with community and non‑profit partners that assess the needs and capacities of the organization(s). Update, maintain, and refine a comprehensive resource database for all current community partners and their compatibility with CLCE…
