Overview
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a dynamic and accomplished researcher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will have a robust track record in cardiovascular research and will contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at understanding and treating cardiovascular diseases, leveraging state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will drive innovative research initiatives that can translate into clinical practice and will engage in teaching and mentoring.
The role includes active engagement in teaching and mentoring, shaping the next generation of cardiovascular specialists through lectures, seminars, and hands-on training. The position also offers opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, engineers, and basic scientists, supported by extensive institutional resources to facilitate impactful discoveries in cardiovascular medicine.
Duties and Responsibilities- Write and publish research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals; present at national and international conferences; develop national and international scholarly reputation.
- Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
- Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies in cardiovascular medicine; develop and write grant proposals to secure funding; obtain and maintain NIH RO1 or equivalent funding.
