Experienced Tax Preparer CPA
Full time/On-site
Position OverviewWe are a boutique public accounting firm located in Winter Park, FL. We are seeking a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts.
Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation- Prepare individual tax returns
- Prepare business returns (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnerships)
- Prepare trust returns
- Calculate estimated tax payments and quarterly/year-end payroll returns
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices on behalf of clients
- Research and resolve tax issues through correspondence and documentation
- Perform tax research to resolve issues and ensure accurate filing positions
- Stay current on evolving federal and state tax laws
- CPA designation desired
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years tax preparation experience across individual and business returns
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws
- Experience with IRS correspondence and issue resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
