Senior Accountant

Compensation: $58,000 – $66,000
Location: Daytona Beach, FL (Hybrid)

This is a newly created Senior Accountant role within a growing nonprofit organization with approximately $50M in annual revenue. The position was created due to an upcoming merger and the need for stronger accounting leadership and balance sheet expertise.

• Own balance sheet accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities

• Support financial integration efforts related to the nonprofit merger

• Prepare and review journal entries, schedules, and financial reports

• Partner with leadership to ensure accurate and consistent accounting practices

• Assist in improving processes, controls, and reporting across entities

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance ideal, but not required)

• Prior experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations ideal, but not required

• Strong balance sheet and GAAP accounting knowledge

• Is ready to step into a role with growth to Accounting Manager

• Has strong foundational accounting skills and merger exposure

• Enjoys bringing structure to evolving environments
