Responsible for the preparation of foods according to the standardized recipes, and production methods. Ensure high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation, service and storage and daily quality control checks. Work multiple production stations and conducts quality control checks on taste, temperature and presentation on patient, cafeteria, and catering foods. Train and orient selected staff on food production and safety and sanitation practices.
Lead production in absence of Executive Chef according to facility, Perform other duties as necessary.
Other information:
- 4 years - Cook;
Or - 2 years - Relevant experience with High School or equivalent;
- 6 months - Food Services;
Or - 6 months - Healthcare.
Requires Serv Safe Manager food safety certification within 1 year of hire.
