3rd shift is Sunday - Thursday 11:30pm - 7:30 am

Meaningful Work From Day One:

Conducts/Monitors testing of mature whiskey and liqueurs to ensure compliance to specifications and TTB regulations. Maintains sample retain library of product batches covering approximately 2 years of production. Monitors samples and reports findings of relative product clarity and stability. Prepares, administers, and analyzes sensory evaluation of in-process sampling. Perform data entry functions for all QC databases and reporting.

Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities:

General Support:

  • Engage in food safety and quality culture through support and participation of SQF activities
  • Provide resources for continuous improvement of Food Safety and Quality system
  • Perform as backup for any Food Safety or Quality role as listed on Food Safety and Quality Control Org Chart
What You Will Do In This Position:
  • Conduct analytical testing of whiskey and issue Certificates of Analysis as needed to ensure compliance with all specifications and TTB regulations
  • Issue variances for quality assurance approval
  • Maintain records for all testing results conducted on product
  • Maintain whiskey retain library and perform stability checks
  • Prepare and administer sensory evaluation for various sensory panels against approved standards, including incoming raw materials and ingredients
  • Perform data entry functions for QC departmental databases
  • Ensure accuracy of equipment by performing daily checks prior to analysis
  • Conduct routine housekeeping and inventory to maintain laboratory function
  • Engage in food safety culture through support and participation of SQF activities
  • Support ISO 17025:2017 compliance for food safety and SQF initiatives as needed
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biological Science, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with current business software
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
  • Demonstrated analytical, mathematical and related science skills to apply to procedures and QC tools
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships
  • Maintains awareness and demonstrates willingness to conform to all hygiene and housekeeping requirements as detailed in the Quality Standards
What Makes Your Unique:
  • 2-4 years experience in a lab setting or related environment using analytical methods and laboratory procedures including general laboratory equipment:
    • Turbidity meter
    • Spectrophotometer
    • Density meter
    • Alcolyzer
    • pH meter
    • Distillation columns (water bath and chillers)
    • Refractometer
    • Precision glassware
  • Previous experience in a spirits manufacturing facility
  • Experience working in a Global Food Safety and Quality Certified facility, including ISO
    17025 Certified/Compliant Laboratory
  • Professional certifications related to quality control, quality systems, and analytical chemistry
  • Knowledge of SAP or related software
  • Knowledge of TTB regulations
