OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Operator to join our team. This role involves operating distillation and reaction process equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring adherence to GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety Standards. This position became available due to the need for a reliable team member after a permanent employee's departure.
Responsibilities- Operate distillation and reaction process equipment efficiently.
- Manage inventory through accurate paperwork transfers.
- Charge stills and execute process plumbing lineups with hoses, hard lines, and fittings to and from tanks.
- Sample and label distillation cuts, and conduct Gas Chromatography analysis on cuts and in-process samples.
- Make run condition changes and decisions based on analysis results.
- Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety Standards consistently.
- Proficiency in chemistry and distillation processes.
- Basic Math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Experience with Gas Chromatography testing.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Skills & Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- Understanding of simple mathematics is essential.
- Experience in chemical processing and automated control systems is a plus.
- Completion of a math assessment is required before consideration.
- The role is based in a fragrance/flavors manufacturing facility, with 50% of the work conducted outdoors and 50% in an air‑conditioned office.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WINTER HAVEN, FL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
