We are seeking a seasoned Truss Design Manager who has successfully led high-performing design teams, managed complex multi-family and commercial projects, and understands how design performance directly impacts plant profitability, production flow, and customer satisfaction.

The Design Manager is responsible for leading and managing the design of engineered truss components from architectural plans to final production-ready drawings. This role exercises discretion and independent judgment in interpreting construction documents, developing placement layouts, and producing engineered truss drawings while ensuring compliance with company standards, industry codes, and customer specifications.
This position provides strategic oversight, supervision, and mentorship to the design team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous professional development. The Design Manager serves as a key liaison between design, sales, production, customer service, and management to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Interpretation and design of engineered components and panels from architectural prints to produce placement layouts and engineered truss drawings.
- Supervise and direct designers’ work to ensure accurate designs.
- Scheduling design work.
- Managing and resolving customer related design issues and other miscellaneous design issues.
- Developing designer’s skills to enable them to advance through the design levels.
- Effective communication with other teams, including sales, production, customer service and management

- Spreadsheet and internet software
- Respond to common inquiries, and/or resolve complaints, from customers
- Mulit-Family design experience
