Overview
The Shepherd's Center of Greater Winston Salem recruits volunteers who provide medical and grocery transportation, minor home repairs, as well as home visitation and respite care through our Faith in Action Program. Our senior center provides opportunities to participate in activites, fellowship and educational programs.
Responsibilities- Assist participants with transportation to and from medical appointments using our Ride Scheduler, an internet-based system, or by coordinating with transportation staff.
- Use your own vehicle for transportation and be reimbursed for mileage.
- Provide support consistent with Faith in Action programming, including home visitation and respite care, minor home repairs as needed, and participation in senior center activities and programs.
- Volunteer shifts last 2–4 hours.
- Shifts are between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- You can determine which trips you’d like to take in advance when it’s convenient for you.
