Ally Invest is looking for a Senior Cloud Data engineer who is passionate about solving data problems in the financial sector. As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, you will have opportunities to develop and optimize batch and real-time data processes throughout our business, as well as to foster new skills, explore emerging technologies, and to share knowledge with your peers and colleagues.

* Design, develop, test, and deploy business intelligence solutions
* Interact with various business units to gather requirements
* Review and optimize current ETL processes
* Ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy
* Collaborate with team members in code reviews, discovering better practices and patterns
* Provide significant contributions to the growth of our data infrastructure
* Participate in routine Agile and Scrum practices### The Skills You Bring
* 3+ years of relevant work experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field
* Extensive working knowledge of Python, Java, and SQL
* Experience building data platforms using AWS
* Experience working with Apache Airflow
* Desire and drive to continue learning
* Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent experience in related field

Skills:

*** Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
* Experience working with investment brokerage
* Experience working in a controlled and regulated environment
* Experience developing applications with Apache Kafka
* Experience developing applications with Spark and/or Py Spark
* Familiarity with Terraform / Gitlab Pipelines
* Experience with Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL
* Familiarity with common Dev Ops pipeline concepts and components
