Purpose
:
The National Center for Clinical Trials (NCCT) serves as an innovative platform to revolutionize and catalyze the conduct of clinical trials, accelerating translation of scientific findings into improvements in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The Senior Application Developer provides software engineering expertise—design, coding, architecture—and works with customers to recommend system optimization opportunities, leading the deployment and mentoring on new workflows.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate projects, collaborate with the Project Manager, and manage customer expectations.
- Collect, interpret, and document specifications for new or revised functionality.
- Develop complex databases and application code in appropriate languages to meet project requirements.
- Create and maintain interfaces between systems using available interface technologies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot code, legacy systems, and configuration issues in DEV/TEST environments.
- Participate in daily communication with the implementation team to review software, analyze business operations, and tailor systems.
- Mentor team members and foster knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of application development lifecycle (mobile, web, full‑stack).
- Proficient in Microsoft .NET (9.0+), SQL Server, C#, JavaScript, Blazor/Angular
JS/React
JS. - Strong collaborative skills in diverse environments.
- Hands‑on programming support, whiteboarding, and flowcharting.
- Rapid learning of new frameworks, languages, and techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, and Agile methodologies preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops/Jira, CI/CD, and automated builds preferred.
Education & Experience
7+ years of directly relevant experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Compensation
: $43.30 – $64.95 per hour
