Full-time, Variable

Schedule:

The position works alongside the person being supported during his or her hours of work, which can include nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is a must.

$16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

• Serve as personal employment specialist/ job coach for a diversity of people living with significant disabilities who are seeking long-term employment.
• Create work opportunities by establishing relationships with local employers through cold-calling, networking, and targeted marketing campaigns.
• Assess individual skills and deliver targeted prevocational training.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and training for people who have been placed.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and reports in compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory requirements.

• Documented experience working with adults with Disabilities, Mental Health and Diverse Backgrounds.
• Desire to promote and develop employment and on-the-job training opportunities for individuals on your caseload.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Problem-solving, project planning, and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer aptitude to learn new software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work collaboratively with other team members.
• Commitment to meeting or exceeding the needs of the people supported.
• Valid NC driver's license and willingness to use private vehicle; willingness to undergo a criminal background check. Vehicle use is compensated by mileage.
