Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
- Service and repair major appliances (e.g., washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, oven ranges and stovetops, dishwashers, and microwaves) at both residential and commercial locations, including parts’ installation
- Maintain professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers
- Troubleshoot and advise clients on the best course of action for malfunctioning appliances
- Effectively use basic hand tools and industry diagnostic and repair equipment (e.g., Volt-ohm meter, Amprobe, CO detector, etc.)
- Prioritize and work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies, meet time commitments, and maintain safety
- Read and interpret technical schematics and instruction manuals
- Complete calls to service tech lines as needed
- Provide accurate estimates for repair work and receive on-site payments via text message
- Accurately track service calls, making timely notes for office administration and customer service
- Order and maintain parts inventory for applicable service calls
- Liaise with clients regularly to keep them informed about their repair work statuses
- Comfortably work around dogs, cats, and other non-hostile pets that may be present in customers’ homes
- Safely drive and operate the company service truck/van at all times
- Attend appropriate technical and manufacturer trainings to maintain industry-related certifications
- At least 18 years old upon hire date
- Current and valid non-CDL NC driver's license
- At least 3 years of clean driving record to operate company vehicles
- Ability to pass a background check (i.e., no violent offenses or larceny convictions due to the nature of the position)
- Appliance repair/service experience or education/certifications (strongly preferred but not required)
- Physical ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach above/below waist
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Physical ability to lift and carry, with or without assistance, up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Physical ability to work in and around a variety of conditions (both weather and non-weather related), including but not limited to damp/humid conditions, heated surfaces, ladders, and liquids
- Physical ability to see up close and adjust focus vision
- Slip-resistant steel-toed shoes (uniform shirt provided)
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job

Open Mondays through Fridays (8:00a – 6:00p) and Saturdays (8:00a – 4:00p). Closed on Sundays for family time.
