Licensed Plumber

Non-contracted, in-house work - be part of the hospital team, not a rotating job site A place to retire - long-term stability with a respected healthcare organization Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans Paid time off and holiday pay Predictable work environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork The opportunity to support mission-driven work that impacts patient care and safety What You'll Do Perform advanced commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair work Maintain plumbing, mechanical, utility, and building systems in a safe, operational condition Install, repair, and maintain medical gas systems, including medical air, oxygen, vacuum, nitrogen, compressed air, and nitrous oxide Troubleshoot plumbing and mechanical issues using testing equipment and analytical problem-solving Support and maintain RO systems and rehab pool systems Install and repair various commercial kitchen equipment Evaluate plumbing systems for performance, efficiency, and improvement opportunities Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Ensure compliance with life safety, plumbing, and building codes Collaborate with Plant Engineering leadership and healthcare teams to support hospital operations What We're Looking For Education High school diploma, required One (1) year of vocational or technical school, required Licensure & Certifications City or county Journeyman's Card and/or State Plumber's License, required Valid North Carolina Driver's License (NCDL), required Experience Five (5)+ years of experience in commercial plumbing installation and maintenance, required Required Skills & Knowledge Strong working knowledge of plumbing, building, and life safety codes Advanced ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing and mechanical systems using testing equipment Demonstrated experience with medical gas systems, including medical air, oxygen, vacuum, nitrogen, compressed air, and nitrous oxide Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Experience installing and repairing commercial kitchen equipment Ability to assess plumbing systems for performance, reliability, and efficiency improvements

Preferred Qualifications Healthcare facility experience, strongly preferred

Experience with RO systems and rehab pools, required Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems Basic computer skills and experience using PC-based programs Ability to recognize and respond to changes in equipment and system sounds Why Choose Novant Health?
