Role Overview
The Vice President of Residential Sales will own and scale all residential sales activity across the Fence Builders platform. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving close rates, ticket size, lead conversion, sales process discipline, and team performance across multiple branches.
Qualifications- Residential sales leadership experience in home services
- Proven success scaling multi-location, field-based sales teams
- Strong command of KPIs, forecasting, and performance management
- Willingness to travel regularly

- Own and improve residential revenue, close rate, average ticket, and lead-to-sale conversion across all locations
- Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and dashboards at the branch and rep level
- Drive consistent execution of in-home selling best practices
- Improve win rates and margins through pricing discipline, presentation standards, and option-based selling
- Stay current on the competitive landscape in our markets
- Gather and analyze customer insights to inform sales strategies and service improvements
- Design and implement a standardized residential sales playbook
- Ensure quotes are delivered on-site whenever possible to maximize close rates
- Define best practices for follow-up, rehash, and lead recovery
- Partner with marketing and operations to align customer acquisition strategies, lead flow, scheduling, and install capacity
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop the residential sales team
- Create a clear performance management framework (scorecards, coaching cadence, accountability)
- Identify top performers and build a bench for future growth
- Drive a sales culture centered on professionalism, urgency, and customer trust
- Build and scale inside sales / rehash capability to recover unclosed leads
- Define handoff rules between field sales and inside sales
- Increase monetization of inbound leads through disciplined follow-up
- Partner with Procurement and Estimating to standardize options and pricing
- Work with Finance on revenue forecasting, commission structures, and financial planning
- Support integration of new acquisitions into the Fence Builders sales platform
