DINING SERVICES MANAGER – K12 FOOD SERVICE – WINSTON SALEM, NC

Chartwells School Dining Services K12 is looking for a Dining Services Manager to lead our food service team in Winston Salem, NC.

Position Title: Dining Services Manager – K12 Food Service – Winston Salem, NC
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
Location: Winston Salem, NC

As a Dining Services Manager, you will manage a team of food service professionals and be responsible for the overall service in the main dining room as well as special functions. You will assist with maintaining interdepartmental relations and integrating the dining service department with the facility plan of operation.

• Oversee dining services operations at a medium to large volume location.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
• Assist with profit and loss and budgeting for this account.
• Work with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide top‑quality food.
• Provide meal services in a seated dining room setting, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all facility activities.
• Help roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary team.
• Prepare quarterly reports for client presentation.
• Collaborate with marketing and culinary department to increase sales through innovations and food quality.
• Communicate with culinary department to ensure food programs reflect company vision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 2 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care or related food service operations.
• Waiter, table and catering experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and presentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products.
• Serv Safe certification is preferred.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
